DogSmart - Puppy Training App

This app is 100% free, and is easy for your puppy to understand. My pup was very mischievous the first 6 months. But when we downloaded other apps like GoDog, we realized that it costs money. I downloaded some other apps, which were basically the same. But then, we downloaded this app, it was great! Our puppy understood every trick, and now he’s way more obedient thanks to this app! I would truly recommend it to new puppy owners.

This is indeed totally free puppy training app without any in app purchase or paid plan. I have tried basic tricks that include sit, stand and stay turns out that the instructions and steps are clear enough to make bush learn the command easily. He loves the sounds too specifically the squeak toy sound. One improvement that I would suggest is to allow the sound in silent mode too. I notice sometimes that when phone is on mute the sound doesn’t play I don’t know if it is intentional or not but the sound should be allowed when the phone is on mute using silent switch. Overall it is a great app and on top of all I can access everything free by watching a short ad.

I chose this app over all the others because another reviewer confirmed it is totally free and there is no “in app purchases” tag under the “Get” button. So, super excited. I couldn’t get through the first lesson! There is not enough room on the screen making the words with the instructions cut off and there is no way to scroll down. How can I know what to do if I can’t read the instructions? When the screen runs out of room, that’s it. And with the (necessary) banner advertising, a large cartoon eye-catching graphic, there is ONE line of instructional text. Step 3 only displayed two words, “Immediately rewar” Reward for what?? If I could just scroll down to finish reading, or anything… I went into my phone settings and decreased my font size, unchecked bold text, etc. this exposed three more lines of text for the doggie training instructions but still not all of the information. I’d give this app 1 star because it is entirely unusable due to the inability to scroll down to read the rest of the text. But I give it an extra star because it is entirely free. Just need to fix this user interface/graphic design flaw.
