The appโs developers are very clever. By the third board, the game becomes challenging. After watching 100 ads, I gave in and purchased the game for $7.99. But by the tenth board or so, I had to continuously watch ads to increase my time. Some boards are nearly impossible to complete with a timer. Some boards donโt make perfect sense, so youโre just winging in. I finally gave in and spent another $7.99 to have infinite time. Itโs more relaxing now but stillโฆsome boards donโt make that much sense to me. I love the concept. Smooth game play etc but there needs to be more boards. I spent $16 plus tax for 100 or so levels. Not enough. PS Iโve never spent this much on an iPhone game so again, the developers know what theyโre doing. Smart cookies.
TLDR: actual game play is fine, but you have to watch an ad just to open the app [seriously, who does that!?!], then there are ads after every single level (completed or not) and ads for any time extensions or bonuses (understandable). I love these games; I have completed 4 of them so I decided to download this one even though other reviewers mentioned it has a lot of ads. I donโt mind ads; I am that person who will gladly โwatchโ ads to get in game bonuses/money/etc, especially while Iโm doing chores. And I agree that ads are the trade off for free games and/or to keep from having to pay to play. THAT BEING SAID: this game has an OBNOXIOUS amount of ads. When you open the app, you get an ad BEFORE you even see the title screen come up! There is an ad after Every. Single. Level (whether you complete it in time or not). And poor you if you donโt finish the level before the timer runs out! Then there is the โend of levelโ ad, PLUS you have to watch an ad for more time (unless you spend coins, which you only get 20 per level unless you watch an ad for more). I will go days without playing because of the ads, then open it and may play two levels before I close it again cause of the ads. By all means, play this game if youโre desperate (I do sometimes), but prep yourself for lots and lots of ads.
First of all, the "puzzles" timed. (Not relaxing.) Many are terribly unintuitive. Some of these could stand to have double the time limit, and if you want more time? Ads. Also, they play an ad every time you finish a level, or if you run out of time. So I have to sit through 30sec of ads before I have to sit through another 60ish sec of ads to get more time. They offer no additional ads for $5.99 (that means beyond the ones you request for more time or hints) and with the time limits already as unreasonable as some of them are, no way. I'm not paying $5.99 to still have to watch that many ads. Level 27 glitched and fortunately restarting it fixed the issue but not before I wasted several minutes of my time on unnecessary ads for time and eventually hints. On the upside, it does feel nice to finally get whatever digital thingy cleaned up or repaired or sorted. I just don't think it's worth wasting this many additional minutes of my life. So, double the time limits, chill out on the ad breaks, and maybe you'd weasel a few dollars out of me eventually... but I'm uninstalling this after tonight. I'd rather play remove-the-screw and sort-the-blocks for the amount of gameplay I get for my forced advertisement time. Oh, and one last additional nitpick: it's harder for left-handed people. >=\
