Campsite: Free & Paid Camping

The kids are grown, out of the house and productive members of society. Thus, we have more time to explore America. This app is a perfect companion for our adventures. We love how you can filter for campgrounds, wild camping, or RV parks when you feel like glamping. The 3D mapping is also a killer feature. It’s like I have a helicopter hovering over the High Sierras or Utah. A no-brainer to download this free app and keep it close by. A much needed resource.

I could spend all day on this app logging my previous camp adventures and creating lists of where I want to go next. The UI is so clean and easy to use and makes me want to pack up and get on the next adventure right away. The fact that this app is pretty much completely free (besides offline maps which is more of a donation), is going to make camping and finding new spots to explore all the more accessible. Can’t wait to visit some of the sites on here and create my own new ones. Share this app with all your camp buddies!!

I downloaded this app right before a weekend camping trip, and it completely saved the day. We were heading to a remote spot in the mountains, and, of course, we lost cell service halfway there. I loved how easy it was to see free camping areas on public lands—something I’d always struggled to find before. The reviews helped us avoid a noisy campground and instead find a peaceful hidden gem near a river. By the end of the trip, I’d already started creating a list of future places to check out. This app feels like having an experienced camper guiding you every step of the way. If you love getting outside but hate the planning hassle, you need this app!
