This app has great potential and is getting me to practice speaking aloud and paying closer attention to my pronunciation. It is a good companion to learning Korean using other methods, such as TTMIK lessons. However it could use improvements at analyzing your voice recordings. Even if it looks like my response was perfect (transcription of response matches correct response) it may give me a low score for answer matches correct response. It also gets glitchy and will force me to skip sentence practice in order to move on. It seems to have trouble when responding with numbers. However, I don’t mind the accuracy of the scoring so much as long as I am learning and practicing. I do look forward to a smoother experience as I continue to use it over the next year!

I have enjoyed TTMIK podcast for awhile and was very excited about the app. As a Korean language beginner I’ve been looking for a more authentic, efficient and simple way to learn. While I found the initial unit helpful and efficient in its content, it wasn’t very clear on what or how the activities should be done. I feel more clear directions would make it easier. In the speaking exercises the option to hear a sentence more slowly wasn’t much different than the initial speed and still difficult to understand. The AI voices didn’t convey the nuance I’d hoped either. I did not get to experience more than the first unit before I hit the app paywall. So while I did enjoy overall what I was able to experience, I felt a longer trial would’ve been necessary and helpful to see if the app would be worth my investment. Pronunciation is what I want to focus on and the voices were the weakest part of the app I was able to experience. I hope that this improves and if it is improved those that have completed the first unit can experience it again to see if it fits their needs. I tried to go back to see if it had improved and I was not allowed to.

I like the concept and how I get instant feedback on my speaking skill. However, the feedback needs to be more details. For example, I was getting perfect score on 이거 but always fail on pronouncing 이건. I listened to my own audio and I honestly don't know why it shows as incorrect pronunciation (red color), especially when 이거 is 100% right. I didn't think adding the ㄴ ending vowel would be that hard. The issue is that I don't even know which part I pronounced wrongly and how to fix it. Was my ㄴ not strong enough? is it the ㄱ instead? What if it's the 이. So eventually, I just try to pronounce different parts differently and still no success. It would be great if the app could give more information on what's the problem is or what makes the AI detect the word as wrong or right. It's already pretty frustrating on such a short word, I would imagine it's gonna be so much worse on longer ones. I really like the app and hope to use it more, but for me personally this issue needs to be addressed first.
