Skeptical to say the least! But who wouldn't be??? However, for the price it was at least worth the shot. So I ordered a key on the 8th and it was shipped on the 10th. After I received the email that it was shipped I called them to ask for a tracking number because there was not one in the email. To my surprise, I was told that they don't have tracking numbers for there keys and that the keys should just arrive in about 5 days. So after hearing that I grew EVEN MORE weary about purchasing this key. So then I had no other choice but to just pray that this was legit and fortunately enough I received my key in the mail yesterday on the 15th. At that point happy to see that I at least truly did receive the key, the only thing I had left to worry about was whether or not it would really work, I mean seriously, this key was literally made based on a (PICTURE). But I went to my door, opened it up, put the key in, and behold.....IT REALLY DID WORK!!! So obviously I was saving my review until I found out whether or not this was actually legit and it CERTAINLY IS!!!! If I could give it 10 STARS I WOULD!!! Fantastic app, gotta love this modern day era!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, KeyMe wasn't able to provide the solution I needed, but I'm giving them five stars anyway. I was looking to duplicate my key for a 2012 Toyota Camry, less expensively than it would have cost at the dealer, and KeyMe's in-store kiosk seemed like a promising solution. (For obvious reasons, the app can't handle car keys with electronic signatures.) I inserted my key, it scanned the pattern and the electronics, and a few days later I had a backup key in the mail. Unfortunately, the electronics didn't convince my car: the key turned in the ignition, but the engine wouldn't turn over. When I called customer service, a friendly woman (Sophie I believe) answered on the second ring and promised to get a second key right out to me, which she did. Sadly, this key had the same issue. My second call was handled even more efficiently, and I had a refund credited in no time flat, without even the hassle of mailing back the non-working keys. Hopefully someday they'll get the issues sorted out with duplicating electronic car keys, but in the meantime, their commitment to making things right was a pleasure to behold.

I've tried it out and scanned a number of keys. Some wouldn't automatically scan and required a person to review. When they were reviewed, they came back saying I hadn't flipped them. Yet prior to sending a key you have a screen showing both sides and they were flipped. I imagine this was due to problems scanning the keys; the app took a number of pics of both sides before it did an animation of that side being scanned. The scanning interface is a bit confusing: it draws a red box mostly around the key and you are supposed to make it fit on a green box where when it is right it turns yellow. I never figured out wether I was supposed move it farther or closer, left or right, etc. I did find that bright white paper as the background helped. My worst issue is the pricing for getting the key codes for when you would have a local locksmith cut a key. They want $10! Ordering a key from them is at most $7 for the most pricey blank. It's a great backup plan but personally I'll just make some copies for friends/family to have and keep extras rather than be extorted.
