I am guessing most of these reviews were solicited since they have so many 5 star review. I love the idea of this app and the use of AI to scan foods. However, I make most of my food (as opposed to store bought) and the AI scan is not accurately accounting for the ingredients. For example, I made a white bean chili with ground turkey. It could see I put cheese and avocado on top and it accounted for that but not the type of beans or meat I used (which would change the protein count). It’s not a bad guess but I wouldn’t depend on the ai Tech unless it’s the kind of plate where all the food is clearly seperated (not soups or rice bowls, etc.).

My husband and I opted to try out the app for a week. It worked for the first 2 days and then consistently the food and exercise images and descriptions failed for the subsequent 2 days before the trial period ended even after troubleshooting (removing and reading back the app, closing the app, deleting the app and redownloading). I requested a refund and apple said that this purchase is not eligible for a refund. So I paid $4.99 for a week’s trial to only use the app for 2 days! Very frustrating! This is how they steal your money.
