Popcorn: Global Phone Plan

I ported my AT&T line over to Popcorn with ease with Esim right after I moved to France. I have been using Popcorn for over 5 months and LOVE them. This allows me to travel all over the EU, the States and more without having to buy local travel Esims! Just turn off the Airplane mode at the airport and bam, local connection without accruing any further charges! Before, I had to be on wifi to talk to family back home or pay heavily for AT&T roaming charges, but now I can be reading my book by the Seine and text or talk to my family through my Popcorn (old At&t) cell number, which I have had for like 20 years, anytime and anywhere with no wifi connection needed or extra charges. Even 2 hour convo’s!!! Also, Popcorn gives my confidence when I transfer money and need to respond to bank texts with verification codes!!! Or sometimes the bank and creditcard calls/texts to verify purchase which would be impossible with an international number. I have had no issues. Connection runs off local towers which switch automatically (I do have a French number for governmental responses with my visa and local bank). A must for Expats who travel or who still have resources and family back in the States or another country!!!

I often make global travel plans in the span of a few weeks before departure. I’m currently in Costa Rica. I’ll be heading to Europe sometime in February. From there, I might travel onward to Vietnam after a few months in Europe. Popcorn means peace of mind. Staying connected is paramount. I rely on WiFi, I have a mini StarLink, and Popcorn provides unlimited data. In nearly any situation, just about everywhere in the world, I am covered for internet. I’m originally from the states and I’m currently subleasing my house. I’ve got 5 roommates back in the states, and they all need to send me their rent and utilities money. I need to be able to stay in contact with them, and I need to be able to digitally pay the rent and utilities for the house. $69 per month is already comparable to an unlimited plan within the USA, but for the same price, I can use my phone anywhere in the world. Plus, I love that they advertise the bottomline price. It’s not $69 per month plus taxes and other hidden fees. It’s just $69 per month. I recommended another friend to Popcorn, and as a result, I received $50 off one of my bills. I’m so happy with Popcorn. My Hotspot stopped working after signing up for Popcorn, and I was super disappointed, but a quick 4 minute conversation with customer service had me up and running again. Easy peasy. If I can get other travelers to make the switch, you better believe I’ll spread the word!

I have looked everywhere for a phone plan that offers voice texting and data that is unlimited. My usage is generally very low however, there are times when I do need the data or calling and paying the absurd pricing that Verizon and T-Mobile offer for their international service packs is just not doable. At first I was skeptical however I am totally sold on this service. It truly does work great and with their eSIM activation it’s an extremely smooth process. The pricing is great as well. I really thought Google Fi was the best provider out there, but they suspended my international data because I was outside of the US for too long. That does not seem to be a problem here with Popcorn. It’s definitely a different name, than something you typically would see, but really the name doesn’t matter. It’s the service that works great and is reliable. I had to reprovision the SIM card and support was able to do it very quickly quickly and emailed me right back back. They are very responsive. I am really hoping that they will add the watch voice and data plans soon. Lastly, I’ll see if the company is willing to give you a trial that must really show that they are that good of a company. And I can vouch for the service so far as just been absolutely perfect. I hope they don’t ever change the pricing or the plans like the other providers do. That’s the one thing I hate more than anything. The big providers come out with their plans that say unlimited but then when you want to use, unlimited your capped after so many gigabytes, absolutely misleading. Give Popcorn a try you regret it.
