I got this app last year when I still had my 15 Pro, and it was fine for what it did- 4K resolution would’ve been great, but according to the developer that was a limitation of iOS. That’s fine, I can’t hold that against the developer. But fast-forward many months, and I just opened this app for the first time on my newer 16 Pro, only to be told by the app that he can’t run on the 16 pro. There’s no way the architecture of this newest iPhone is that different from the previous generation to the extent that this app can’t run on a newer phone. I paid for the year subscription a while back only to see it wasted away because the developer hasn’t been bothered to update the app. I also got an email from the developer maybe a month ago asking if I wanted to beta test version two of the app, to which I replied “sure!”, only to never hear from him again, even after a follow up email from me asking what’s going on with that. I’m sorry, this app just seems like a money grab. If you want raw video, best to go with Motioncam Pro on that alternate ecosystem (that shall not be named here). 1080p resolution and no ability to record to external SSD is just too limiting for the price.
This is an amazing advancement for those using iPhone to finally get the real RAW experience! I can’t wait to use this more and see where this takes me and my work. Thank you for making this!!!
There’s no free trial — you are locked to 480p unless you pay $5/month or $20/year. Can’t even test out the app in 1080 or 720 (lol) without paying. Any business model like that quickly gets 1 star. So unfortunate.
PLEAST NOTE: srRAW requires specific hardware found in the newest iPhones. Currently supported models include iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max as well as iPh...
