Mobile deposit saves me a drive

I really like my federal credit union but this new app has some major flaws with the deposit feature. I’m currently using an iPhone 16 with the latest version of the operating system. I have two issues with a deposit feature. For one, every other time I use it the camera switches horizontal to vertical, which makes it almost impossible to take a picture of my check, which requires me then to close the app and reopen it and try it again. The second and most frustrating issue is that it does not like my signature and notation on the back of the check. I’ve gotten to the point now, where I actually have a spare check that I know works, and I use it. I love the new look and many other features on the app are nice, but my main need is to deposit checks and bill pay. And half of what I need it to do is terrible. And for that I’d rather have the old app.
