You have to connect the camera to cigarette power with cable comes with. If u use any other power source (such as a usb ports in the car), it will show the camera is connected to a computer, and won't let you use the camera. Terrible idea.

The first couple days I was able on my phone to watch the videos that the Sarmert C1 5K camera captured, but after, a message pops up each time when I go to this app, its saying: ‘Failed to connect the recorder’, even there is a checkmark that looks like the camera is connected through wifi, but its not. I tried their troubleshooting, like resetting the camera and the memory card and nothing helped. My suggestion is look somewhere easy until these guys will get their products better.

I love the RoadRec app! It’s easy to use and works perfectly with my dash cam. The video quality is great, and I can easily download videos directly to my phone, which is super convenient.I also appreciate that I can configure the settings of my C1 dash cam through the app and even perform OTA updates. Overall, this app makes managing my dash cam footage simple and reliable.
