Reviews: What People Think About Ora: World Clock

Update: latest release added my missing timezone and made the widget display minutes as well. 5 stars. Thanks!!
Big fan of the work that this developer does. Making this free is a big gift, as a prior time zone app I had used and paid for was recently removed from the App Store. 3 requests would make it perfect for my needs: there’s no city listed in WITA (UTC+8) that I can tell, which seems like a rather odd omission. I’d also love if the Home Screen widget would show the live time, and not rounded to the nearest hour (unless I’m missing something). Lastly, iCloud sync of added cities between my devices would be great. Thanks Dan! Keep up the good work.

Very well done and beautiful app. Would love to see the minutes in the widgets for each city time (instead of just 2pm, 8am, etc)

Love this, thanks for making it free. This is the most commonsensical way to think about and view timezones. Lifesaver.
BUT, and I know this is tough to do, it would be AMAZING if somehow you could make it so that during Time Travel in the globe feature… the shadow of the Earth also responds and shifts accurately.
I can imagine that with the Apple Maps integration it may not work but then I’d encourage you to see if you could swap that our for some other open-source interactive globe model that would allow such a thing because we don’t need the full access to Apple Maps with street details and whatnot. If anything, since this is a timezone app, what we do need is a globe with a moving shadow!
About Ora: World Clock
Ora is a world clock app, in the most literal sense possible. Like any good world clock, it lets you see the time in different locations around the globe; but unlike others, it can show you those times on an actual globe, and you can use Time Travel to see different times.
This is especially useful if you work across time zones, or are following events in other time zones; for all those times you might ask questions like “What time is it in New York when it’s 3pm in London?”.
