Witchcraft & Wicca - Coven App

As someone just getting into these practices, I find the Coven app extremely helpful and I use it daily! I love the daily spells and supplies of the day. It helps me build up my supplies and also gives me ideas of rituals I can do with what I have on hand. The additional spells and supplies tabs are so educational. Instead of constantly Googling what certain herbs or candles are used for certain outcomes, or reading an entire book, I use the app for bite-sized pieces of information. Same with the learning tab. I look forward to additional content being added and maybe sound frequency and meditation sessions!

I do not like when apps ask you to review their app before you ever even gotten a chance to test it out. So here's my three star review and I will update accordingly based on how the app actually functions, and whether there are any privacy issues or bugs or malware attached as I've been having that problem quite frequently lately with other apps. Had to reset my phone, and I always make sure the apps I download do not collect personal information.. but apparently people can just bypass the law that states you have to provide a notice if a policy change surrounding privacy is going to occur and you must have a clear opt out button as well as full disclosure as to what is being .. invaded upon.

I initially signed up expecting a free trial, but was unexpectedly charged $32 for the annual subscription. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to receive a refund due to the terms of the trial. However, since I now have access for the year, I decided to make use of it — and I’m glad I did. The layout of the app is intuitive, and the information provided is well-organized and presented clearly. As someone who has been practicing and studying witchcraft for over a decade, I appreciate that much of the content aligns with what I’ve read in books and come across through personal research. The app feels grounded in real knowledge, not just surface-level summaries. While much of the content leans toward beginner-level knowledge — especially for seasoned practitioners — I still found value in areas I hadn’t focused on much before. That said, I do wish the app offered a bit more depth. For example, a more extensive reference section with searchable lists of herbs, candles, crystals, and spells categorized by intention or need would be incredibly useful. Overall, despite the initial frustration with the billing issue, I feel the app offers strong value for the price, especially when compared to other apps that tend to overcharge for similar content. It’s a great resource for beginners and still holds some insight for more experienced witches.
