PGVCL SMART METER

The application appears frightfully archaic; one might easily presume it was cobbled together by an unsupervised novice. The user interface is quite appalling, bearing a distinct resemblance to the digital relics of 2010. Furthermore, the design is exceedingly repetitive, displaying identical tables upon the main screen as one finds within the subsidiary pages, rather than offering a genuinely functional dashboard. It renders the task of discerning one's payable amount terribly perplexing—there is no clear delineation between what they deem 'import' and 'export', and it completely neglects to calculate the final net usage. One is regrettably forced to undertake the mathematics oneself. The core functionalities are demonstrably broken. The "Remote Meter Display" quite fails to fetch any data, merely producing an error, whilst one cannot even download past statements without being met with a "No data found to generate pdf" notice. To compound this dreadful experience, there is a grievances feature wherein they summarily dismiss one's inquiries with an instruction to "contact the subdivision." For what earthly reason, one must ask, does such an utterly pointless feature even exist within the application?

I am not able to download the bill of last four to five months.

I am extremely disappointed with the smart meter application provided by Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL). Since installation, the consumption data has not been updated for the last four months, making the app practically useless. The user interface is overly complicated and not user-friendly. Important information is difficult to access, and the overall experience does not meet basic usability expectations. Considering the significant investment made in deploying smart meters and their supporting systems, this solution does not appear to deliver value for money. A smart meter system should provide real-time or at least regularly updated consumption data with a simple, intuitive interface.
