Merge Prison : hidden puzzle

It’s a fun merge game. It’s got a huge variety of generators so you’re not seeing the same 2 main generators all the time. The generators also come from story progression and not the stupid event only RNG chests so you’re never stuck with generator pieces crowding your board. They also let you max the generator in a timely manner before retiring them for the next new one. Free gems and energy from events are very generous compared to others. You can buy storage at a good pace even if you rarely need storage to begin with. I love that the orders change over time so you’re not just stuck building to one specific order. They also actively create orders for “old generator items” so you feel content changing the new main generator. I enjoy the screw puzzle and to some extent the tile matching. Only thing I’ll really complain about is the tiles really require RNG to clear sometimes without using the power ups. Downgrading to 3 stars temporarily cause there’s this annoying bug that says update the game after I already did and instead leads me to this review. Edit: Back to 5. Issue was resolved after latest event ended. I appreciate them acknowledging and giving compensation.

Overall the game is fine and fun and I enjoy the theme. It’s very unique. But I don’t like how short the events are and how they bleed into each other. you’ll be working on one event and the next will start the next day before the current event ends. And they both ask for the same type of energy but different gameplays. First, the events should last for 3 days and be their own thing and not bleed into the other. Like right now, there’s a balloon event that requires you to spend energy on generators to get darts for the balloons. And they started at the tail end of the previous event. And now there’s still a day left for the balloon event but a screw event just started today too that runs for two days. But the screw event uses the same energy as the balloon event. But doesn’t contribute to getting darts for the balloon event. Also if you have a tile game as your actual game progression puzzle, then you’ll waste energy on the tile game and it doesn’t contribute to ANY of the events. Basically, either use different types of energy for the events or don’t have them overlap with each other. When one ends, the next one begins. There shouldn’t be 3 events going on at the same time in 2 days. It makes it impossible to progress in any of the events. And you have to choose which ones you wanna focus on
