Loved that this app is location aware and gives turn-by-turn instructions to reach your destination (route specific). There is room for improvement in that other features could add to a GC visitor’s tour experience, such as distress signal/request for emergency assistance (in case of accident or bike malfunction), and an option to hear park specific information and/or history. For example, an audio of the El Tovar history and cultural significance, information about the lookout points, and the history of the cultures of land occupants. Make this optional so those who are not interested are not overwhelmed or overstimulated. Also, if you want riders to get off their bikes and walk across pedestrian crossings, add that reminder in the current interactive audio. (Although that instruction was provided to all riders prior to departure, I did not see a single rider do this when out on the trail.)
We used this for the yellow loop. While it was initially confusing with the “next” buttons, we found it to be excellent and intuitive as we navigated the yellow loop. I would HIGHLY recommend.
The app was great. I wish the bike company had phone holders on the bikes so you could hear the app talking to you instead of having the phone in your pocket.
