I’ve used other diet and fitness apps, and this one lacks features that are expected in 2025. In fact, its functionality reminds me of the ones I used in the early 2010s.
First, there is no way to link it to a fitness tracker (Fitbit, Apple Watch, etc.) so you have to enter your weight and exercise manually. Second, while it has all of the data it needs, it doesn’t give you analytics to help you build or reinforce healthy habits, such as telling you that you’re eating too much or too little, not exercising enough, or even “Good job! You’re halfway to your goal!”. Third, the food database lacks restaurant entrees, making it difficult to track meals if you’re dining out. Finally, it has a few bugs/quirks: I can’t seem to save more than 10 or so favorite foods, it doesn’t always display things I eat often in recent foods logged, and for some reason the hard boiled egg entry I match to is listed as 78 calories for one serving (1 egg) but shows up in my journal as 39 calories (half).
I’ve used it and have successfully lost weight and improved my health, but this app needs a lot of work to compete with others that are out there.

The numi app was finally starting to become usable it when they moved the food journaling to the nutrisystem app and broke everything again. Search function is a disaster, recents aren’t recents, and you can’t search recents or favorites. It’s also a pay for app now. They bypass giving Apple a cut, but you now need a food subscription to use it. I get it, app development isn’t free, but it is their mail advertising app. Either way, it’s a big step backwards from the numi app (even with numi’s quirks).

When we first purchased our 2 months of Nutrisystem with - auto-delivery - and associated “discounts” -we saw an ad The Next Day - for a cheaper offer from Nutrisystem . They refused to give us the cheaper price because we “didn’t use the link with the ad to place our order.” We argued and lost. So now we have 2 months of the Nutrisystem package with auto-delivery, including the tracking app and all the benefits at a higher price. Ok. Then, since we only wanted the program for 2 months and our second month was shipping, we cancel auto-delivery so we don’t pay for a third shipment. If you don’t cancel by a certain date, the shipment must be purchased. Upon canceling So we avoid the 3rd shipment, Nutrisystem kicked us off the Nutrisystem App. We still had over 5 weeks on the program, and wanted to track our progress for the entire 2 months- That Was Paid For! Again calling Nutrisystem, they said “sorry, you are no longer in the program”. We argued. We still have 5 weeks in the program! We asked to speak to a manager. We were told there is no manager, there’s no one to talk to. Sorry. So my advice is - Buyer beware!
