Soccer Manager 2026 - Football

I love the game but I have one idea that I think would be really helpful. I feel like the scouting feature is a bit underused. For me, I find it really tedious to every time have to manually put it what I want my scouts to do. I feel like it would be helpful to add a feature that basically copy’s your last scouting. For instance if I tell a scout to find 16-20 year olds for 1-10 million, right now you have to put those instructions in every single time. If a button was added that would just copy those every time, I think that would be a great quality of life improvement. Love the game tho, it’s exactly what I want as it’s basically FM but less in depth and easier to sim.

From the moment I launched Soccer Manager 2025, I could tell this year’s edition was a huge leap forward. The interface is cleaner, faster, and more immersive than ever, making it easy to jump right into managing without feeling overwhelmed. The match engine feels more realistic, with smarter AI, better player movements, and results that reflect your tactics more accurately. Every transfer, lineup decision, and tactical tweak feels impactful, which makes every matchday exciting. What really sets SM25 apart is the depth of its career mode. Scouting feels more authentic, contract negotiations have more personality, and youth development is now genuinely rewarding. I loved seeing academy players grow into first-team stars and watching my long-term strategies pay off. The addition of enhanced stats and match analysis tools makes it feel like you’re running a real club, not just playing a game. Overall, Soccer Manager 2025 is easily the best entry in the series so far. It captures the thrill, tension, and satisfaction of being in the dugout better than ever before. Whether you’re chasing silverware with a powerhouse or building a small club into a giant, SM25 delivers a deeply satisfying and endlessly replayable football management experience. This is a must-play for any fan of the beautiful game.

I have played this game since 2020. Over the course of that span, I have seen some good editions of the game, SM20 and SM23 probably the best, and have seen some fairly disappointing ones. This game however is by FAR the worst game I’ve ever seen playing this series. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from last year has changed. No new squad roles, no new tactics, no new NOTHING. How lazy must these developers be to completely resent and ignore what was a great and enjoyable game in the past? I have been crying out for inverted full backs in the game, one of the most COMMONLY used trends in football today. And also, not a single player in the game plays under the role of “sweeper keeper” when that is literally the DEFINITION of players like Andre Onana, Vicario, Raya, Ederson, etc. In all honesty, the layout last year looks WAY better than last year, so in a way they have worsened the game from last year. I hope my opinion on this game eventually changes over time, but so far this game is in shambles and something’s need to change in SM26 next year for this game to stay relevant.
