Iโve seen this hundreds of times before. P2W should be expected going in with a title like DMC. I mean do you honestly think that a team of developers spend months and months creating a beautiful game like this out of the goodness of their hearts? They have families to take care of just like everyone else. I do think that it would be better to just charge a flat price for the game instead of luring people in to thinking they can beat the game eventually without paying and then hitting them with it after they have invested hours upon hours of their time. Honestly people should expect to have to fork out a little money at some point though for a game like this. I mean this isnโt Angry Birds or Cookie Jam. I get so tired of people with their sense of entitlement who want everything for free. I mean Iโve even seen people get nasty with the creators of a free emulator just because it wasnโt able to play their favorite game yet. Go to school and learn video game development and put your own team together and spend months creating your own game and then offer it to the world for free and then you can gripe all you want about software companies that charge for their content. Until then give the rest of us a break and quit complaining.
I want to give this game five stars, Iโve been playing since day 1, with that being said iโve seen some disgusting practices within its gacha mechanics. At a certain point it becomes impossible to progress without forking over money. $30 +tax to be exact, for specific characters you may want. There is a currency in game called โhunter vault breakerโ itโs a premium currency. They give it to you in a abundance but surprise, surprise when it come time to actually use it, YOU CANโT. Theyโve completely removed the option and replaced it with an even more premium currency (itโs the exact same type of currency one is sky blue and the other is purple). When I first started the game I didnโt believe the reviews that called it p2w. But now as Iโve progressed to chapter XII itโs nigh on impossible to progress any further without spending money. Oh and you wonโt only be spending money on characters you have to level them up also, the game doesnโt give you much to use, but they always give you the option of just paying for a mac level character. This is a disgusting practice and it needs to stop. Iโve already stop playing due to this and donโt plan on coming back until itโs fixed. Besides that GLARING issues itโs a solid hack n slash for iOS devices. Just know they WILL try to get your money and everything IS expensive.
I didnโt know what to expect, but honestly it holds true to the classic titles we all know any love, except optimized for mobile. You can pretty much acquire anything and everything without paying any actual money, but I will say if thereโs a character you really want from the vault, you may need to spend 10-20$ to potentially get him. Iโve probably spent maybe 50$ total since this game has released and not once did I feel like my money was wasted. Lots of stuff to do, thatโs for sure. In the beginning the UI may feel overwhelming, but fear not! After playing with it for a little bit and doing one thing at a time it will all blend together and make sense. If you havenโt given this a go yet, I highly recommend, and thatโs coming from me, I donโt ever play mobile games! This one is definitely a keeper!
