I have dealt with with this taxi service in all its incarnations over the last 40 years including Avenue cars Radio cars Cresta Magnum etc etc Now it’s called X000M ? I’m 77 and booked a car for 06:30 today it arrived only to be told quite aggressively I had to pay upfront before being able go My trip was booked to Oldham Hospital I had a small hold-all bag as I was due to have an operation and a 3 or 4 day stay I had asked the office when booking if I could pay by card and was told I could The driver demanded prepayment and wouldn’t accept card luckily I had packed £20 incase I needed it in hospital so I gave it to him as I needed to get to the hospital I was charged £15,30 despite being quoted £13 the evening I booked When check in the hospital I telephoned the company to politely complain I was told by a rude Employee that “the price was £15:80 and I had to pay upfront as that was the managers choice and if I didn’t like it to go elsewhere for taxis in future “ Absolutely disgusting luckily I’m informed that Uber are very reliable seems like the obvious future choice Xoom scores NIL

Having been a customer using one of their older taxi company apps, there was an issue with registering with this app. I reached out to the developers to see if they could help, and they did, importantly they were polite and willing to assist. The only reason not to leave a 5-star review, it would be helpful to be able to register a preference for a category of vehicle: for example, I may always want a saloon car due to passenger having mobility issues and unable to use a minibus.
