Wiltshire Connect

Have now used the service twice and find it a real game changer. Very helpful drivers, timely service, bookable up to a week ahead, great app. A superb Wiltshire solution to the difficult problem of providing service between remote villages and small town hubs.

The idea of booking your bus is great and does seem to work on the whole … however the app can be incredibly frustrating to use. You have to first select the time you go, then where you go from and finally the destination. It will then search for available rides. So far so good. However quite often it will tell you that there is no ride available, so rather than offering possible alternatives, you have to go through the whole process again … sometimes up to the point where you just give up. Just give me a list of options to choose from if the first selection doesn’t work …

App works well but needs a simpler/more intuitive interface to add multiple passengers to same booking. More use of the GPS tracking facility so that it can pick passengers up on the route. For example we walked to the nearest bus stop (10mins) only to find the bus drive past the bottom of our road after it had picked us up! This would have saved 7mins walking time
