I love this app. It’s great. The UI is clear and concise and the sounds are great for reminders mid-workout. One thing that the app is lacking is Apple Watch support/integration. I don’t like being tethered to my phone during a gym workout. I’m the kindle of guy who starts a workout and chucks their phone into a bag to minimize distractions. This is where apps like Setgraph and Ladder excel and beat Dropset for me. When Apple Watch integration is added. I’ll definitely give Dropset another fair chance.
The UI of the app is great! The developers put a lot of effort into making this. That being said, I think they focused more on looks rather than function. The app is super difficult to input things in especially when you’re working out and just want to plug in the numbers. The weights widget is great but you have to individually rotate the numbers to put in your weight which doesn’t make any sense. Inputting any entry is just tedious. I really wanted to like this app but I think the developers need to go back to the drawing board and make this super simple to use.
As someone who needs and loves tracking my workouts using an actual app and not my Notes app, this app has been EXACTLY what I needed. I can make each workout and exercise very personalized and make notes, move things around, I love it. The app is easy to use and I love the minimalist look. Probably my favorite part of it is being able to communicate to the developers on the app. So whenever I notice someone that not working (which is rare), or I have something that could be different, I’m able to just message them.
Dropset is a clean and minimal tool for tracking your gym workouts, designed to be as non distracting as possible. You won’t find annoying upsells, or...
