This app is very powerful but getting connected to each new car can be a quite challenging. Obviously we all want secure networks hopefully preventing a n’ erdowell from remotely controlling certain aspects of your car. As far as I can tell, if something is wireless, it can be accessed, by someone, period. I’m sure most would pan that idea. But consider the motivation already deep within more people than you’d think. I’m not saying that this device and/or app are able to do these things. I’m commenting on the difficulty connecting, that sometimes makes me want to throw the dongle away. Just Ithe fact that the industry even allowed certain controls to be done wirelessly is beyond reckless. I don’t care how busy or active these auto repair facilities might be, this should be more of a nightmare to us than we realize. Consider that this very idea could easily be the plot of some Dystopian sci-fi movie. Take partial control of a very important car to make it appear that some world leader or whoever, swerved or did NOT avoid an obvious and serious accident to make it look like a complete accident, while it was a plot to coupe a. government. If your electric steering goes out, which has been standards on lots of cars for years now, you will not be able to steer the car. Techs say that the effort to overcome the mechanical advantage of the motor and the gearing, no person with even strong arms could move it effectively to avoid a wreck. I’m not saying that could be done now. But could it soon. These apps and hardware can control you ABS pump remotely, but the steps to use that service requires the car to be not running. Anyway, make the impossible happen, Make it more consistently easy to connect. Otherwise, it’s at the top of my list along with my Autel dongle and App. Fix it please.

This is a great resource and works well. It takes a bit to figure out the steps since the titles of sections aren't always the clearest so "information" or "how tos" would be helpful. Also the first day you connect it and make an account, it doesn't work right away. We have three devices and all have the same experience. Next day, works great so we just plug in, set up account, and come back the next day. Working ever since. Also the VIN finder doesn't seem to work well for older cars (early 2000s, 1990s) but adding the VIN once is all you need. It will remember your car after that.

I had nothing but success with this tool!! Granted it doesn’t do it all but for the price it keeps up with more expensive scan tools I have
