Stocks Pro : Real-time stock

I’ve used this app for years. I used to think it was a really good ticker but now I’m thinking about using a different stock ticker.When I bought the app I was very pleased with it but recently, now that I have to watch an ad to open my ticker app, I have found that to be very annoying. What would be FAIR would be to have a free version than includes ads. Buyers of the app should have the product that they bought and paid for, not a lesser version of it.Better believe that I pay no attention to the ads at all. All I’m thinking about when an ad comes up is wanting to click out of it as soon as I possibly can.

I paid a premium price for this “pro” version of the app and what’s quite happy for some time to have an ad free and functional tool to track stocks. Ads appeared some time ago but they were small and unobtrusive. Now they are brash and flashy and interfere with performance of the program. And formerly operational features have become available only to “elite” subscriber members. Borderline fraudulent to charge more for the ad-free version only to later erode it into a de-featured click-bait nightmare that requires users to pay an periodic subscription fee. Greed. Pure greed… I guess this is proper karma for a stock-tracking app? PREVIOUS REVIEW BELOW: Good but imperfect. Too many ads. Good app for tracking a moderate sized portfolio. Is difficult to maintain a portfolio with a large number of stocks in it and the app does not let you easily clone a portfolio or otherwise fork one off into two or more lists. I now maintain a few different "portfolio" lists with different types of stocks or funds in them. Improvements do happen even if developer is not very customer-responsive. App now handles BRK-B and BRK-A properly after years of troubles with these stocks. Recent version now has too much advertising and proffers up a "paper trade" feature along with other persistent attempts to link up to your actual brokerage accounts. Um - no thanks. And quit trying.

OK. Updating my last review. While there are some shortcomings, this does provide up to date news re the individual stocks. I rely on another app primarily, but when I want info re why a stock is moving, I COME BACK TO STOCK PRO. 1/20 Used this app for years and while there may have been an occasional issue, all in all it WAS the best out on the market. It has continued to fall short, following mutual funds is poor, poor, and frequently does not update during market hours. There is/are other apps out that do a much better job.
