Text Browser

I have a 2014 mini-iPad that I bought with the minimal RAM (16?), and browsing I get crashes most of the time. I was using Chrome for the past 3 years, but just switched to Firefox and got some improvement. But getting a "text browser" was the best move I ever made in browsing! And this one works very well. (And for some odd reason, it's also showing me photographs sometimes.) Fantastic! So much happier browsing articles that I just want to read w/o pop ups and crashes and surprise moves of the text on the screen.m. It was like instead of reading I was playing a video game of "Guess where the text you're trying to read is going next!"

I really want to love this browser. But it has many deficiencies. Primo, it isn't a true text only browser. Pics do show up; try searching for anything in Google and watch them appear. It also has very little in the way of customization: no way to change colours or fonts, no restriction of style elements, no bookmark folders, no way to represent as another browser... This is all jake except that sites with explicit html only pages don't always display correctly. That said, this browser is a sorely needed app which helps the user gain a bit of control back in their web browsing. I hope it continues to progress toward delivering the kind of power fans of Lynx and its descendants admire.

This is a great browser that serves as a good fill in for iOS's lack of text reflow (aka text wrap). It's just missing two features: 1) the ability to view web pages with just text and images (minus scripts). Kind of like reader mode, except this browser also works in forums and comment sections. 2) tabbed browsing.
