I was really hoping that the TOPS app would be a great addition to Bangkok online shopping options. Unfortunately, TOPS is performing terribly. I had one order cancelled; so, I re-ordered. On Friday, the driver contacted me TWICE for directions and then simply never showed up. When I called the phone number back, I was told that this phone now belonged to a different driver, namely her. She refused to provide me any other phone numbers. Note: The app reported my order as delivered. Friday evening I sent a complaint via the app. Saturday late morning, I sent another complaint via the app. SILENCE. Finally, I called the number on the emailed order confirmation. There was an option for Thai (which I speak with native fluency), the only button that worked was to request an English-speaking contact. The gal who answered spoke fairly good English, and I explained my dilemma. She was unable to help other by saying she’d contact the branch store for me. Four hours later, NO ONE has contacted me about my order. The only good thing is that Tops appears not to have charged my debit card for the order (yet). So disappointed in this service, particularly because the only options via Happy Fresh (a far superior app) in my new area are Lotus and Big C.

The App itself and its functionality is ok. Not great, but better than BigC’s god awful app or Lotus’s. Tops delivery itself though is why I’m writing such a bad review, I apologize to the developers who are stuck with this app, but Tops inventory system is so horrible it ruins any user experience. Do not use tops delivery service. 9 out of my 10 orders end up being sold out of a bunch of the stuff I order, even if I place the order to be delivered asap. They keep the full amount you paid and say it takes up to 45 business days to refund you the money for the items they’re sold out of. They do not use any insulation for your groceries, most of the time my milk arrives spoiled and meat arrives warm. They will just ignore you if you try to complain to customer service and ask for a refund and I can prove it. Worst grocery delivery service on earth.

I have used this a few times and they have cancelled my orders multiple times without notifying me. The only way I found out was by going into the app to check on the status of my order and found it was canceled. There was no text, email, phone call or other attempts to let me know that there was a problem with my order. When I have gotten deliveries, there have been items I did not order delivered to me and items I needed that we left off, again without any notice or attempt to let me know ahead of time. Considering the amount of time this service has been available, these types of issues show n extremely poor execution by company management and a poorly supported service. There are better home delivery apps are out there that actually communicate with their customers.
