Why do you need location permissions all the time for location based services; surely “while using the app” is sufficient. It’s creepy that Met Service checks my location 20x per day even when I’m not using the app.
Otherwise the app is not bad. I don’t especially like the layout, but the information is very helpful and appreciated.

Extremely limited weather app compared to what’s available in the US. It would be nice to have more customizable controls on what is seen and more access to data like wind maps, tides, lightning. The radar map is extremely low detail and doesn’t even provide a location. It would be great to provide minute-casts with weather like Auckland in the winter. Also the video plays through the ringer volume which is just bad programming.

This is a decent app with a few features not in the Apple weather app, such as tides and laundry. But the advertising is soooo annoying. It gets in the way of what I really want to see. If there were a $4 in-app purchase to get an ad-free version, I’d take it.
