dict.cc+ Dictionary

I like the app very much. German has been a special interest for me since I was in college but I‘m still learning. I can read novels with little need to look up words to follow the storyline but eagerly look up every word I‘m not sure about. The program makes it easy to improve my Wortschatz! The “submit” button is unresponsive!!!

I have been using this dictionary (German-English) for several years now. I’ve found that it’s the best one out there for unusual words, technical and scientific terms, old fashioned words, etc that many other dictionaries do not cover. Been using the paid version for quite a while now because I like the offline functionality. It is the one I recommend to other peope who use German for work or speak it as a second language.

I began a lifelong study of German in 1962 and have used every brand of dictionary, but, obviously, nothing ever approached DICT in ease or thoroughness. I have the full off-line dictionary and am always amazed at how easily I can find a definition and can cross reference words to get at the shades of meanings of words. I have used DICT for years now and greatly appreciate how it has continued to develop.
