I first purchased this app for my 5 year old autistic daughter she did very well with it and it really helped her learn new words. I now use it with my son 20 months he loves it and has learned new words quite quickly
I bought this for a kindergartner expecting it to be early reading sentences/books that increased in difficulty. It's actually aimed at those JUST starting to put letters together /beginning to understand words. Perhaps if the child was not previously in an academic preschool program /parents had not yet started early reading/child had learning delays etc the description would be appropriate --that is the 5 and younger age would be appropriate. For most kids with any preschool background this is way too babyish for 5. Regret spending $10 on app. It should be marked as a 3-4 yr old early preschool app. If your child already has a good beginning grasp on letters even at two they might be able to use. This is not intended for those that can already read, even if only very short books.
