PixiTracker

To be honest, I thiught it was all a waste of creativity, but no. Remaking ‘Schoolhouse Trouble,’ a song by mystman12, CEO and founder of ‘Basically, Games!,’ just wasn’t a bad idea. I only had to use a few more tracks than four. The visualizers are awesome, comtrols for the song are so awesome, it’s polished all the way. Thank you, mate, for making this application for making BBiEAL songs in Pixitracker and for making original songs alike. Thanks.

I’ve had this a while and it really is a fun little sequencer. I never used it much but I pulled it out and recorded some random sounds into it for a drum beat and I fell in love. I’m a perfectionist with my music and tend to get caught up with effects, mixing and making things sound just right. This takes most of those distractions away and allows me to get back to basics and I can enjoy myself more.

Update: Still one of the most fun, quick n' dirty sequencers for iOS. Great little track maker. I never have regrets over buying a Zolotov app. They are some of the best you can get. I love Korg Gadget, but still have Pixitracker, Sun Vox, and Virtual ANS on my phone. They're too unique to delete. Having played with this app for a bit, I am now writing a review. Normally I wait a bit longer, but not this time. I got this app because I remembered the amazing product that was Sun Vox. I never got to fully utilize that monster. I got rid of my iPod and closed my iTunes account and when I opened it back up, Sun Vox was no longer there. I miss it. I got pixitracker because it's $2 and I like what Mr. Zolotov produces. I love it. I said love. It is perfect if you own the Moog filtatron or the animoog. The fact that you can import your own sounds and then use audio copy/paste from other apps just destroys most other apps in this category. It is not as full featured as some of the other apps but it more than makes up for that with it's simplicity and functionality. The only thing that would be cool to have in an update would be a tile editor to create your own pixel tiles. Maybe it already has it and I just haven't found it yet. Having the option to rearrange the pixel animation screen would be welcome, also. If you have the moog filtatron, record something into it, filter and modify it, and then paste it into the pixitracker. Repeat. Now, say goodbye to the rest of your life.
