I have only had this app a short while and I already love everything about it .. I like the way the quizzes are done I like the way it has a real German speaker and you guess how to spell the words I like the vocabulary I like the way it is laid out I like the words that are presented I like everything about it .. The only thing that is missing is a much larger more comprehensive version of this .. I would be more than willing to pay for that version .. This is the German Learning app that I've been looking for for a long long time.

I like this app for learning/reviewing German vocabulary. Each section is filled with words that one hears spoken frequently. I like the fact that a native speaker is pronouncing the word and the listener can repeat a pronunciation as many times as is necessary to feel comfortable with the word. I also like the retention activities available for each section. The listener can test his/her ability with recall and pronunciation. I wish this app had conversation or dialogues that the listener could read, and then practice reciting. However, for a free app this is an especially good one and I recommend it to anyone trying to develop a basic understanding of the German language. I give it 3*** out of 4****.

For a free app, the scope is amazing. 27 categories, 9 ways of learning & testing yourself in each category. And bonus points for being one of the few language apps to make at least some effort to indicate gender. The only using ein and eine, not Der / Die / Das, that still makes it lightyears ahead of most language apps.
Some of the pictures used to illustrate words could be better; and there are just one or two pronunciation hiccups. But all in all, definitely my favorite go-to app.
