I love reading Buddhadharma on my tablet, because it gives me peace. I am living in a Christian based halfway house. Getting printed Buddhist material here would become suspect. This allows me to gain peace that is portable whether it’s on the bus, at bedtime, or as a meditative component; and can be strong addendum to Abrahamic studies. The writing is lucid, contemplative and inclusive.

The app updated a few months ago and I am no longer able to retrieve any of my previous purchases from 2017 or earlier. I contacted the developer and did all the recommended procedures and they basically said “oh well, contact the publisher.” I have all my Apple receipts, but I’m not sure how this will help. Lion’s Roar Foundation should be aware they have a developer who may be ‘nonattached’ to their responsibility to resolve technical issues : ) It’s a good magazine, but be aware if you don’t read them promptly, you may lose them, permanently, unless impermanence means I might get them back someday...

I was having the same problem others noted in these reviews of Buddhadharma with crashing on launching. Today I read the description of this journal here and found that it suggests that such issues can be solved with a deletion of the app and a new download from the iTunes Store. I don't know if that suggestion was there all along or if it was recently added- I never saw it before. I tried this today and it worked. The journal opened, I downloaded the current issue, and I am able to read it with no problems. I hope this works for others as well.
