Many years ago a friend suggested I read “Art of War” - I finally decided to study it via this app that is quite easy to read and view. It is mind-blowing to me, particularly relevant today considering what is happening in the world. I plan to re-read it as there is so much to be said and contemplated. The afterword, however, came as a surprise - I would have preferred to read something like that outside the app, as in a discussion group about the text. This didn’t seem to be the right place for it. I guess I was not expecting the long diatribe and for that I might delete this app and look for another version that is more “Taoist-friendly.”
Walker may be a reasonable translator but he is a highly partisan political commentator who lacks the self-awareness to leave his political opinions out of an app.
I like!!! Thanks for the app and especially your Afterword.
