WorkWise Timesheet

This app is not user friendly at all and can’t even set it up. I just downloaded it minutes ago and have encountered an excessive developer errors. When I tap on fields like employer and pay rate, the app crashes every time. I can’t clock in without receiving an error that I’ve already logged time for this period. I just downloaded the app, so no, I haven’t. I tried adding an employer and the pay rate field is not editable. When I try to save, it gives me an error that I can’t save without a pay rate.

As a freelancer, this app has made it much less of a hassle to keep track of my hours. Of course, accounting for human error is still a struggle as I sometimes start working and I forget to start the time. Or I stop working and forget to stop it. But I don't expect an app to do that for me. This app allows you to discard an entry and enter your time manually, but it doesn't allow you to edit time. So if I forget to clock in after lunch, I can't edit that. I have to either discard the whole entry and enter it manually, or make a mental note and keep going. Kind of annoying. The only thing I think is a nuisance about this app is that it allows you to enter a comment or description about your breaks when you clock your breaks, but it doesn't allow you to enter comments or descriptions for the hours you clocked in! If it did that would help me a lot when invoicing clients. You could give hours spent on specific tasks of a project. Now I know the hours, but I still estimate how I divided the hours among tasks. Or what would be better is if you could add descriptions for the tasks/hours AND change your rate of pay. Some tasks deserve a higher rate than others.... So other than those desires, this is a good basic free time keeping app. It was worth the money ;).

As a BASIC tool, this app helps workers keep track of their hours of work and average pay that is due. It is not a replacement for normal payroll accounting but it DOES encourage employees to be informed. It can trigger a conversation between employee and employer about the compensation agreement so that both parties can fully understand their legal obligations. Also provides links to federal laws and applicable government departments so employees can educate themselves on what is lawful treatment/compensation Provides a venue to solicit help when just compensation is withheld.
