I just got my first GermanEquatorial Mount (with a new Scope obviously), and was really disappointed when I found-out about setting the Right Ascension manual dial. Now, with this App, I have my local position setting right on my phone....already calculated. All I have to do is aim my scope due south, reset, then find my next target. Thanks much!
This is literally exactly what I wanted. I had a Win-32 application that did some of what this thing does as my background, but this is way better. Most importantly, it's in my pocket. Love the drag-the-time feature. Clear that the author wanted to make the app usable above all else. Works on >= iOS 6 which is perfect for a Luddite like me. No dumb or useless features. All parameters manually settable. Perfect.
