Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder™

I downloaded this app a few years ago because I enjoy the outdoors. It's true value for me came into play last summer when I was touring the Washington Cascade volcano mountain range with my friend on our motorcycles. We just bring sleeping bags, sleeping pads and one-man tents for our lodging. We would ride all day, then in the late afternoon look for a place to camp. Several times it was not obvious where we could stay, and once it was getting near dark. Then I remembered the app, and Wow, several camping choices within twenty miles. We used it every night after that. It is also great in finding interesting, rather unknown parks nearby, not only while traveling, but near home also. I have never written a review before this one, but I really have to say, if you like the outdoors, get the app. And then use it.

The app works ok but the lack of being able to say - show me parks with JUST my selections really make the app useless. What I mean is, I want parks with camping and playgrounds. I don't want all parks with camping or playground - I want both so the list is long and useless since I have to open each park to see the what options were at that park. But if you want a list of parks with a single option this app is good.

A couple weeks back the app crashed when I tried pressing "Select Things To Do" but when I reached out I was helped right away. The Staff at Oh, Ranger! let me know it was a issue occurring from the new iOS update. After our first encounter, they alerted me and let me know it was fixed and checked back in to make sure it was working on my end. Excellent customer service!!!!! Since then, I've used the app without any problems and enjoyed every park in my hometown. :) Thanks Oh, Ranger!!!
