Warning- the free version is almost useless so if you're visually impaired and need an app like this you're likely to spend $10 for the full version… and there's the thing. Anyone who's differently abled or just plain old disabled has to deal with their disability but then everything else costs more too. There's a lot of bar code and QR code apps I don't have to spend extra on because my vision is fine, for example (that's the least of it) but my costs accumulate because of my issues. It gets frustrating sometimes, y'know? At least it's not the world Kurt Vonnegut (& others) satired when we're all brought to the same level of equality/inequality and dancers performed chained to heavy weights.
Tried the app. Useless. Was going to help blind daughter to be able to identify medicine. Have to purchase “support” for it to work. Should be expelled from Apple Store. Just sayin.
I thank you so much for making such a wonderful app that helps the blind. I heard about Digit-Eyes from a friend and just finished listening to the podcast featured on applevis extra. This is a very useful app because not only will it read barcodes from retail items but you can also create your own on reusable labels. This is the only barcode reader I've seen that uses reusable labels Keep up the good work !!
Digit-Eyes Lite allows you to read Digit-Eyes QR (Quick-Response) text bar code labels. It can be upgraded to read UPC / EAN labels as well. You can...
