I love reading the readings before going to mass it is very difficult for me to listen and retain anything from the readings at mass. If I read them ahead of time when my mind is quiet I have a chance of retaining it; then when I’m at mass it is just a refresher. I also love the Saint of the day. I have been reading the readings and Saint of the day for about a year now.

I was pleased to see an update, and aesthetically it looks great. However, the scrolling and navigation can be jumpy and wonky. As I am scrolling through a reading sometimes the highlight tool pops into the text and suddenly the header pops in and out of view and I’m sent to either the bottom or top of page. It’s very sensitive. The top header that is designed to come in and out of view is annoying. Also when I get to the end of a reading and swipe for the next one, e.g. 1st reading to canticle, I’m taken to the bottom of its page and not the beginning and have to scroll up. Also the ticker-tape scrolling text with date at top is distracting. Other than this wonky and sometimes annoying navigation, the app looks great. Just wish it functioned a little better.

I use this app daily for readings, solid commentary from excellent sources, and the saint of the day. The recent update (July 2021) has made it so much easier to navigate. It is a pleasure to use. Highly recommend!
