I love this mag for the articles that inform me of LGBT activities in England and around the world. It's more thorough and informative and entertaining than the LGBT mags here in the U.S. This continues to be the best gay informative mag I read!
I have tried to get use to the new format (not to new now) and really have a problem with it on my iPad. I am no longer able to zoom in on articles that are to small for me to read comfortably. I have decide not to renew my subscription when it becomes due unless some changes can be made. It takes much to long to download. Other subscriptions allow you to start reading the first few pages immediately and continues to download as you are reading. It is unfortunate because I do like the magazine and articles.
The digital version looks exactly like the hard copy, which makes the text too small to read when zoomed out to fit a vertical page. Therefore, zooming in is required to read the text and there you have to deal with the issue of moving around the blowed up page versus flipping the page when panning with your finger. Page flips can be annoying when it moves every single page left and then back to the right when you flip it. In short, it should have been optimized based on the resolution of the current iPad so that when fit into one page the text should be readable (and preferably the text size should be flexible). In comparison, reading the magazine on this app is like reading a full page of the New york times on safari versus a more optimized experience of reading the article on the Times Editor's Choice app. Page flips should be less distracting, like the iBooks.
