So, have been using the app for a week and change. Have done 20-30 mile runs. Pros: very clear directions, the maps are easy to read, and stays connected about 90% of the time. Cons: definitely has a few glitches. More than a hand full of times the application will send you down the wrong way of traffic. Today while riding the application fully dropped about 4-5 times on a 20 mile run. Over all I am pretty satisfied and would recommend it. Hopefully there will be some updates to iron out all the wrinkles.
Compared to every other navigation app which really doesn’t give navigation notifications on time for a biker, this app is perfect with its timing and routes. The best feature for me is you can say how long you want to bike and the app will create custom routes for you to bike along bike routes to make it safe. This app is incredibly underrated and is great.
The app is free, but turn by turn navigation costs extra. It's worth it. Especially when you are riding away from home. The down side is that is doesn't recognize addresses in the United States, but all you have to do is pinpoint them on the map.
