To be up-front, there is nothing in the description that says “this is a drum machine.” So don’t be disappointed to find out it’s just a predetermined set of about 50 tracks that cannot be altered whatsoever: this app is what it says it is! 🙂 I’m not sure if it’s a sampled or sequenced set of tracks, but they sound good, and they’re for practicing, or just listening to. No frills here! And it’s free. Unlike in some reviews, there is now (in 2026) a slider bar to speed up and slow down the tempo, and the tracks are named, so those are two improvements right there. I would like to see what the tempos are, but instead the app can take the tempos as slow as .5 (1/2), or as fast as 2x, so one isn’t totally blind as to how fast you’re going. Ad strip along the bottom (so far, the only ads that have appeared, and I appreciate that). It’s free, and it’s a great app for what it is. Thank you so much for developing this!

To the developer: thank you for this great resource. It's a good and useful app for my guitar practice. Here are two functions necessary to make this app useful to musicians: #1: The ability to choose lower BPM for study, scales, etc. #2: It must run in the background. When I look at sheet music or tab in PDF or Guitar Pro, the beats stop. #3 isn't imperative but it would be nice to have more jazz styles including with brushes.
