This app even erases your work so you have to retype names completely, instead of a part. For example, if I am seeking a local handyman and I know his name, I can’t find him by it. I also can’t go back and search by Home “Improvement” and when that fails, by Home “Repair” without typing in both words each time. If I include the person’s name,I don’t even get a list to look at. It finds nothing. Additionally, I’m stunned that I can’t search an area. You must know the city (or suburb) was your target is in. The system will only search that way. Totally unacceptable in this day and age. Please pass me the phone book...I will find a phone number much faster the old-fashioned way, page by page.
This is very disappointing app. I thought the “fingers walking thru the Yellow Pages“ logo meant this was going to be a very useful app, but I found that about 1/3 to 1/2 of the time it will not find a local business listing, or worse, will pull up a business that’s gone bankrupt, or closed years ago still shown as listed. One positive note: if you do happen to find the listing you were wanting, it is the easiest app I’ve found to create a new contact in my iPhone. I finally got so frustrated with all the incorrect information that I just deleted it.
This app lacks some very simple, yet indispensable features. When typing a name—individual or business—you must type the EXACT name or else it will not find results. This could be solved by adding a “sounds like” search feature. The app should also allow one to enter the beginning of the desired results in the event the EXACT name is unknown. Also, the app frequently locks up and/or takes a significant amount of time to generate results. Ultimately, I use Google every chance I have. The only reason I even keep the app is because it’s nice to be able to add the contact info directly from the search engines. This app will not receive a positive rating from me until SIGNIFICANT refining is done.
