I really appreciate the spectrum app. I first downloaded it as the wave. At the time it was mainly for the original languages, then it was just the Greek. When the Hebrew was added I found it even more useful. This is one of my go to sources when studying scripture for lessons and sermons. The developers are really top tier. Very helpful and I believe committed to providing a resource that even beginners can use. I would rate them another five stars for their help in learning how to use the spectrum to it greatest potential for me.

I enjoy using this app daily. I like the side by side of more than one version and I even purchased another version that was not for free. You can take notes and I’m sure I’m not even utilizing all it has to offer.
There were a few glitches: when a version was no longer free, there would be a blank space where it once was and I couldn’t simply close the gap and the version I purchased wouldn’t show up at all. Once I emailed them they responded quickly (had to uninstall, then install again) and it worked. I use this on my IPad.

I use it every morning. It has never crashed once, until the update. When I search Psalms it crashes to home. Paralleling Old and New Testaments Original text, KJV, and Message. Using iPad Pro 9.7 iOS 10.3.3 and NOT going to iOS 11 for performance throttling and sly manipulation to upgrade my iPad. (Reinstalled and seems to be working properly now) Thanks to the developers for a quick response ! You have a great app and should be proud.

First, the guy that wrote it was AOL's Chief Architect so it is easy to use.
Second, this guy also has a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary so he makes the Greek and Hebrew easy to use and the differences between Bible translations understandable.
Most apps present Bible translations like a smorgasbord of choices without giving any way to choose between them. This app places the Greek and Hebrew alongside a spectrum of translations--from the most literal to the most paraphrased. It also color codes them so you know what each one is good at: blues are word-for-word translations and are accurate to the specific words, greens are phrase-for-phrase translations and are accurate to the phrase, and earth tones are thought-for-thought translations and are good at thoughts.
Finally, it doesn't need the Internet or WiFi. You can go out under a tree somewhere and have full and fast access to all the Bibles.
