I use this app all the time for my voicemail, and just got an email from Xfinity the other day that they are canceling it and now we just need to look up our messages in a web browser? How inconvenient to do that on a small cell phone. For a technology company that is as huge as Xfinity and Comcast are, and who charges exorbitant and constantly escalating fees for their services, you would think that they would improve the technology they have and not just keep taking services away, it is infuriating! I’m not even sure if this also means that now we will not get emails when to notify us of our voicemails. I just can’t get over the fact that a technology company this big cannot give us an app to use on our phones. And now they are even adding data charges access to internet access! They are completely greedy. I actually called last year and canceled some of my services to get my bill down because it keeps creeping up so incredibly high, got my bill down $60 a month and now it’s back up even higher than it was then for less service. I rated it three stars because I like the app, but I despise a XFinity and their price gauging!

Infinity aimed high and combined VOIP line, cell phone and mail in one app. Essentially, it takes most if the functions available on the website account page and brings them onto the device for easy access. The ability to use my VOIP phone easily from my cell phone is a great feature. I can answer and make calls over either line, adding the great features of the VOIP line to my mobile device. Not sure why so many bad reviews as I have had few issues. Some issues are simply the current state of technology. The app is loaded with function. I have a long experience with ATT and Xfinity soars over their heads. The app stores the data on the cloud so if you install the app on another device, as soon as you log in, all your data is there. One feature I love is the ability to use the unlimited international calls available on my old land line number which is now VOIP, from the convenience of my iPhone. If you need or have a land line/VOIP line, Xfinity's international calls to major countries are unlimited! That's a big deal in my home with a lot of relatives and friends abroad. Haven't had any major issues with the app and it's kept up to date. Summery--you don't have to use this app to enjoy Xfinity, but it adds great value.

Originally this app was just ok; but over the past year or so has steadily gotten worse and worse, to the point where it is now unusable. The only reason I got it in the first place was to use instead of Apple Mail so that Mail wouldn’t take up so much storage space on my iPad and iPhone (you know, the “ghost storage” in Apple Mail that doesn’t go away even though you delete your emails and empty trash folder; and the only way to get rid of it is to delete the Mail app and reinstall. If you don’t it will eventually use up most of the storage on your device - ridiculous that Apple doesn’t address this!) At any rate, I was driven to this Xfinity Connect app by that issue. For the first couple of years it was at least useable. Now it only works maybe 20-30% of the time and it has never maintained my contacts. I’m having all of the same issues others are reporting and I just can’t take it anymore! Comcast is doing NOTHING to address all the problems and their only “repeated and very tired fix” is to delete and reinstall the app which NEVER works. Shame on you, Comcast! This has the potential of being a very good app if you would only fix all of the problems. Guess we’ll never know what that would be like! This app is now bad enough that I’m having to go back to Apple Mail, even knowing that I’ll have to regularly delete and reinstall it in order to keep the size of it down. I’m thoroughly disgusted with Comcast!
