Reviews: What People Think About Wizardry Variants Daphne

First off, the amount of effort they’ve put into world building and story reaches well past the competition and genuinely tells an interesting and compelling story in its world setting. If you love a good JRPG with solid animation and all the mechanics of character and equipment building, then this game is for you. I’ve gotten down to the 4th floor of the abyss (main game dungeon) so far and it has continued to satisfy my dungeon crawl craving again and again. Just when I was starting to get bored of the early game mobs they switched it up both stylistically and even gave them new abilities to combat. If you enjoy buying shiny new things for your characters and other useful things, the jeweler (real money merchant) has plenty of offers for that itch as well as solid selection of free offers with in game gems that aren’t too difficult to earn. You can progress quite nicely without paying, which is a nice change from some other titles. But I definitely recommend buying something here and there to show support for the team. They’ve put plenty of effort into it and it shows.
TLDR: Good game. doesn’t get old. Free to play but you should buy something anyway ya cheapskate

The game is good but to be a 5 stars it lacks certain things: The variety of monsters is too short. There are only 3 kind of monster on each floor 🤣. The items are always the same found in the labyrinth, monster drops are always the same (not even potions or rare drops). Those things make the game more interesting and enjoyable. On top of that, the rating of weapons and armors (1-4 stars) doesn’t make any sense to me. A 3 star weapon it’s supposed to do extra damage versus a 1 or 2 stars weapon and therefore should be sold for more coins. I really don’t understand what is the point of that. It’s irrelevant. Those are little details that make gamers and fans of this type of games like me to enjoy more. Instead it becomes a little bit repetitive and boring. I would like to see more of those things, especially more monsters and rare drops. Again, the game is good but you guys must keep working on those little details to make it better. One last thing: to go back to your original class after you change it is almost impossible and ridiculous cuz you have to wait until you get to buy the scroll for that particular class and on top of that with the name of the character. That’s to difficult to get. Now I’m stuck with another priest that I don’t need which previously was one of my tank fighters who knows until when. Ugh frustrating.

This is a pretty unique take on a mobile game that isn’t afraid to take some risks. It’s got elements of Etrian Odyssey and SMT with some great art direction and style. This game doesn’t hold your hand and is willing to take some risks, which I appreciate. I recommend this game for anyone looking for a unique mobile game experience, especially anyone looking for a challenge.
That being said I have a couple criticisms. The base gameplay is really good, but I do feel the difficulty curve gets a bit steep too quickly. Clearing the rank up trials feels very hard even with the party at the max possible level cap. Sometimes characters or even the MC will just get one shot by enemies, and I feel like the game hits that point pretty quickly without enough for the player to adjust to deal with it. On a similar note, while the game feels very possible with basic units, the rate at which you earn currency feels pretty slow.
Overall I am enjoying the game, just some occasional frustration with difficulty.
