Subbey: Substitute Teacher App

For years, we have been searching for a way to improve our school’s ability to efficiently and effectively secure substitute teachers. When Subbey was first introduced to us, our school immediately knew this was something we wanted more information on. After having a conference call with the creator of Subbey, Shea McGee and Ellie, Shea personally came to the school to discuss the app in greater detail. After beginning this school year using the Subbey app, we provided feedback on how Subbey could be tweaked in order to become even more efficient for all schools, not just MRA. Ellie, our contact person for Subbey was not only willing to listen to our view, but also truly heard where we were coming from, and quickly made the changes we were asking for. This company has been extremely easy to work with and the Subbey app has GREATLY improved our ability to secure subs in a timely manner, increase the number of subs we have, and has made it a much easier process for admin, teachers and subs.

This app has been a game changer for our school! It makes finding substitutes incredibly simple and stress-free. The platform is very user-friendly, easy to navigate, and packed with helpful features that make the entire process smooth and efficient. We’ve truly enjoyed using it and appreciate how thoughtfully it’s designed for schools. On top of that, the team behind the app is fantastic — responsive, kind, and genuinely open to feedback. It’s clear they care about continually improving the experience. We absolutely love it and highly recommend it to any school looking to simplify substitute management!

The new chat feature that has been added to Subbey is a wonderful addition! My subs love having access to lesson plans via link before arriving the morning of their job. It also provides a great place to leave those last minute things or answer any questions. Subbey continues to be the easiest way to manage being out of school.
