Reviews: What People Think About DARKEST DAYS

Some games don’t offer enough content while others offer too much. This game does the latter way too soon. This may be a preemptive attempt to keep players happy or to keep them online forever. I for one would like to complete one or two missions before getting more added on and before my toon can handle them. The graphics look fine if a bit dated, the buildings seem spare inside, and the combat is fun (though solo players will find themselves swamped by the undead early on). I prefer soloing so it would be nice if there were a way to turn off invites; the perpetual red dot is annoying. This new iteration of State of Decay and DayZ features the storyline of the first and the wonky controls of the second. It also crashes a lot after using the storage. Since this is Beta it gets a tentative three + stars for now. Some of the issues mentioned may be driven by monetary incentives. I get that devs should be reimbursed for their investment so, in fairness, I’ll add that this is a decent & free mobile game with great potential.

This game is probably the best open-world zombie survival game available on the App Store right now, easily deserving a 5-star rating, ignore all the negative comments this game deserves way more recognition, there’s nothing like it on the AppStore which is usually filled with gacha auto games, this game is near console quality. Essentially, it's like State of Decay with some online multiplayer features. I have some problems with this game, it's filled with bugs that developers might fix eventually from early release. but it doesn't take away from how great it is. The AI partner is pretty stupid, and the hitbox is either too small or doesn't register properly (which might be intended). Also, this game is region locked, so I can't play with my friends who live in other countries. It would be nice to have a join session feature or party feature from friendslist or some form of coop implementation from upcoming guilds?

Been playing the game since launch and so far, the game is fairly good. The combat isn’t bad but the only thing that may struggle you is the larger numbers of enemies, so the game tries to promote bringing a npc along who often times serves as an aggro role. The base building is good but the game does make weird resource scaling between each level of facility upgrades. The game does an interestingly good job at keeping multiplayer a bit controllable, as someone who has played games like LifeAfter and Undawn and a few others, it feels good not having players bother me every 5 minutes. There is a noticeable amount of lag but lowering settings seems to mitigate it. Overall, a fairly decent game with some weird quirks.
