My original review, I gave it 2 stars for being a pay to win setup. However, I was mistaken. Let me explain myself. The player has the option to spend money to progress faster but itโs not necessary. Patience is the key and requesting tokens from an active alliance helps tremendously. Iโve done 3 upgrades without spending a penny from token gifts from my alliance. I spend a day or two just simply fulfilling ship orders (which gives gold or โmoneyโ in return) and also making items to sell. Afterwards I progress on doing upgrades. I choose one fort or task and focus on requesting tokens for it alone and before long I have enough to do the upgrades. If youโre not a patient person, the game isnโt for you, but itโs most definitely free to play. My apologies to the developers and their team, yall keep up the good work and much love and respect
Iโm enjoying this game. So far, tasks are doable and rewards are respectable. Expansions are ramping up quickly in difficulty, and itโs not hard to see this will be a pain point. And as noted in other reviews, the warehouse is TEENY TINY, and difficult to expand. My current strategy is to pick a goal (and there are many, many), and work toward it. Otherwise, Iโm running out of room. Doing the daily tasks gets you expansion pieces, so Iโm hitting those hard. But itโs clear that the devs have balanced the game to get us to want to buy expansion -both land and warehouse- pieces. I guess they have to stay in business, and so far rewards have seemed fair enough. If there was one thing Iโd change- itโs the warehouse. It would be nice to not have to choose between producing goods for sale and upgrading something. The warehouse expansions should become larger as time goes on, since more items are needed to do things. Thatโs my only issue though, this is a nice game and I recommend it to anyone who can be thoughtful and organized in their strategy. Itโs definitely not for those who want to just produce and play without a real plan. Good job, devs!
I downloaded this game, seeing that the reviews were good (besides the warehouse storage cap which I already saw was an issue only some people were having, and just thought it was a playstyle thing. I went on the game, and thought it was fun. I started working on the Coliseum, built houses and roads, and it was a fun time. Well, the warehouse storage cap came in. Because of the resources you need to get the coliseum tokens, as well as upgrading it and the other buildings, the low warehouse cap was getting to me. It was so annoying, having all of the supplies I needed to upgrade buildings, but not being able to fit them in my warehouse because of the storage cap. Then, I realized something. The materials that are needed to upgrade the warehouse can only be gained from things like the daily bonus, leveling up, or gems. Gems can get you them with no effort, but you also get them through daily rewards and leveling up. However, the easiest way to get gems is by shelling out money. The developers clearly decided to add the warehouse cap so you would pay for gems to increase it since it made the game more annoying. I know you make money off of this, but it makes the game actively worse. I know you probably wonโt listen, but REMOVE THE CAP. PLEASE.
