Smores - Discover New Music

I don’t write reviews much but this app deserves one. I’ve always wanted to try and find new music but I never wanted to search through long playlists or anything, so this is a great and quick way to find new music. I’ve already found a couple songs so I’m excited to see if I can find some more. This was a great idea for an app and I can’t believe I never thought to search on the app store app store for an app like this until now 😭

I love this app and the idea behind it. I’ve already discovered so much new music. However, it doesn’t remember past suggestions as flawlessly as advertised. I have on multiple occasions been suggested the same handful of songs multiple times. This could easily be fixed in a future update but right now it’s just annoying. Also, it would be great if I could have the option to exclude certain artists from suggestion. Overall a solid app but I just wish I didn’t keep hearing the same songs.

I am a big fan of this app! I struggle a lot to find new music because I have a pretty short attention span for it, and this app addresses that really well! A few suggestions/comments: -I’m not too sure what exactly the point of the profile is, not sure if that’s still in development but right now having a whole tab for it seems a little pointless -I think it would be nice if the genre sorting feature had some recommended genres before the big list, as someone who knows very little about music genres I have no idea what each are, so if there is some way to import like top genres or something that may be helpful -Currently you can click on an artist and ask to get more recommendations from them, but it only adds a few tracks and after that it doesn’t add any more. There is also no way to search artists, which may be a helpful feature to find more songs from an artist you just discovered Overall lovely app! Using it ~5 times for five minutes each or so has found me a bunch of new songs. Highly recommend!
