KiLog: Book Movie Game Tracker

I use this app to keep track of my homeschool. It’s easy to change the log for whatever kind of input I want and then quickly log as I complete activities throughout the day. The calendar function makes it easy to get a quick overview of what was done. I could see myself using this for other things aside from schooling, but I’ve only had the app for one day and I already love it.

I have loved this app for a long time and enjoyed recommending it to people. One of my biggest selling points was that this app was a one-time purchase instead of a subscription like everyone else. Now I find out that y’all have moved to being a subscription. It was incredibly disappointing, not only because you became a subscription but also because you originally promised that anyone who bought your app would always have access to any new paid content (like when you added the font or themes for example) and you have not held to that promise at all. Overall I liked this app and I will still use it for the features I do have but you need to get your priorities straight in regards to using a subscription or having a good app.

When I finished setting up several logs and got things ready to go I went to my iPhone and looked all around but could not find anywhere to setup iCloud sync. I figured now days that all apps that were able to run on both synced their data. I then looked on the App Store and all over the app and see no option for it. That’s a shame. This app had a lot going for it but not having sync between devices is a HUGE dealbreaker for me. Like most people that have an iPad they also have an iPad. So naturally they are going to want to use a bigger screen whenever they are able to. Maybe it will be added in the future. And I just purchased the pro version. You could backup and restore but you would have to do this every time you opened the app. Not ideal at all. It has been a long time since I had seen an app that did not automatically have this feature. It’s almost a given. Not to blame the app or developer. It just doesn’t have it. Maybe one day.
