App still has a need for improvement, but finally they’ve added the ability to add classes to calendars EXCEPT you have to give FULL ACCESS instead of just using “Add Events Only” option. So basically it’s still not available to keep track in your calendar. All other apps that allow this feature will do it without full access except Club Studio which is disappointing. Why do you need 100% access to simply add the class?! I refuse to allow full access for ANY app as it is clearly not necessary and completely possible to do without full access. Please consider this change for Add Event Only. Also it would be nice to be able to go back into a booked class and select a different spot if it opens up instead of having to ask the front desk to be moved. Having the option to book a better spot when someone cancels should definitely be available!

This app could use a make-over. It looks like someone at their office said “I’ve built an app before I can do that” and they just went with it. Most of the time when scrolling through available classes, the screen won’t allow you to scroll to the rest of the day and gets stuck midway through the list. I would like to see a way to track my check-ins. I like the achievements section, but I want to be able to track all check-ins so at the end of the year I can assess how many times I went to the gym, not just classes. It’s nice to be able to track month-to-month too so I can see if I’m working out more or less. A description of the classes would be nice too— like what’s the difference between yoga flow and yoga restore? I would also like to see the app send a notification to the front desk that I’ve arrived when I pull into the parking lot. The notification that pops up with my barcode when I arrive is very nice, but if the front desk can anticipate my arrival and say hello to me by name when I walk through the door— that would be the type of luxury experience I expect. Also, I think the barcode needs to be slightly bigger— the front desk sometimes has trouble scanning me in. I’m looking forward to seeing how the app evolves!

For a year I’ve been using this app with no calendar integration and a non-functioning class reminder setting. When I occasionally mess up and have to cancel a class late or miss a class, I have to pay $10-15. My theory is that Club Studio has no intention of improving the app because they make money with members screw up their schedules. Other pet peeves: 1) there are no class descriptions including whether classes are heated; 2) the open (no instructor) Pilates room time slots clog up the schedule making it look like there are more classes offered than there are; and 3) the daily muscle group focus of the CS4 classes isn’t listed (which we desperately need if we are doing a split program through the week). I’m getting close to canceling my membership because upper management clearly doesn’t read/listen/care about these REPEATED complaints and requests from members.
